Who's Blossom? Last year we had to help Blossom's mum hand rear her triplets and Blossom's become a bit of a favourite in this neck of the woods. Our small heritage sheep stud spends much of the year grazing and lazing under our olive trees.
More good news - we've just had our best harvest yet. In a couple of months the new season's oil will be on the shelves (stockists) and on our website. We harvested over two dawn-to-dusk Sundays and whisked them off to Diana Olives at Willunga where they were pressed straightaway to ensure the highest grade extra virgin olive oil. Not only was it the biggest tonnage ever but it was our most enjoyable harvest by far.
Our plucky hand harvesters this year were all from the Kybybolite Football and Netball Club. They did a magnificent job - raising money at the same time for upgrades to the club house. The fresh new seasons oil is now settling in the tanks where it will naturally filter over the winter months. We'll keep you posted on its release.
